K. Bharat & Co. — Website System

K. Bharat & Co.,
Chartered Accountants

For three decades, K. Bharat & Co. has advised promoters, boards and finance teams across India on audit, tax, GST, company law and transaction structuring — with the rigour of a practice that knows its files and the patience of one that knows its clients.

01 About us

A practice of accountants and other professionals — Mumbai, since 1993.

K. Bharat & Co., Chartered Accountants is a firm based in Mumbai, India providing services in the fields of accounting, auditing, tax advisory, project financing advisory and management consulting — along with a host of other financial services.

The firm was established in 1993 by CA Bharat K. Darji, with the aim of providing a wide range of accounting and financial services to clients, and to be recognised as a quality service provider. It is a firm of chartered accountants and other professionals with vast knowledge and professional experience.

The firm is managed by highly motivated, skilled and qualified professionals — each with explicit responsibility for the services rendered by them and by the various levels of staff working under them.

Our professional approach, blended with personal attention, has resulted in our clients reposing their faith and trust in us — reflected in the long-standing relationships we enjoy with them.

02 Founder

CA Bharat K. Darji — founder.

A Fellow Chartered Accountant and Commerce Graduate, Bharat K. Darji has been a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India since 1993. He has worked with professionally managed corporates in the capacity of a consultant, with experience of handling corporate affairs across different areas for over twenty-five years.

His practice spans company, bank, internal, stock and revenue audits; direct and indirect tax matters; accounting for businesses across industries; financial-system design and implementation; management consulting; and project-financing advisory. He brings a careful professional attitude to every engagement, with a steady focus on compliance with the requirements of the relevant statutes.

03 Why work with us

The quiet kind of advisory. Decisive on the work, attentive to the client.

— Leader-driven

A team leader on every engagement, not just the proposal.

You speak to the people doing the thinking. Decisions move at the speed of a phone call, not a committee.

— Multidisciplinary

Audit, tax and advisory under one roof.

Eight integrated practice areas mean fewer hand-offs, faster turnarounds, and counsel that sees the whole balance sheet.

— Three decades

A practice tested across cycles, regimes and reforms.

From the introduction of GST to Ind AS to the Companies Act of 2013 — we have walked clients through every major change in Indian finance and law.

04 Practice areas

  • Business & enterprise valuation (SEBI Registered Valuer)
  • Financial and tax due diligence
07

  • Start-up advisory & feasibility
  • Enterprise risk management
  • Operations & management assistance
  • Value-based management studies
  • Fund-raise readiness & project reports
05 Industries served

From diamond traders to power generators — we read the room.

Multiple industries. Each with its own accounting treatments, audit risks and regulators. The point isn't the breadth — it's that we walk into a first meeting already speaking your language.

06 How we work

A measured engagement, from brief to close.

01 · Discovery

Listen first.

A partner-led conversation to understand the business, the people and the question behind the question.

02 · Scope

A clear letter.

Fixed deliverables, named team, defined timelines and a fee structure that reflects the work — not the postcode.

03 · Execute

Quietly, properly.

Files prepared to standard, evidence indexed, queries closed in working sessions. Status visible at all times.

04 · Close & advise

Beyond the deliverable.

Findings translated into management actions, and an open line for the question that comes a quarter later.

07 Frequently asked

The questions most clients ask in the first meeting.

Yes. A meaningful share of our practice supports founders from incorporation through to first audit, fund-raise and beyond. We offer a packaged early-stage engagement covering company law, accounting set-up, GST and direct-tax compliances on a transparent monthly retainer.

Yes. The firm has been an ICAI-registered practice since 1993 and is empanelled to conduct statutory, tax, internal and concurrent audits. The firm includes a SEBI Registered Valuer (Securities & Financial Assets).

We do. Our client base spans multiple states and our GST, direct-tax and ROC practice is run as a single nationwide compliance calendar — coordinated from Malad with associate counsel in jurisdictions where physical presence is needed.

By engagement. Recurring compliance work is typically priced as a fixed monthly or annual retainer; advisory and transaction work is scoped per matter, with milestones agreed at the engagement-letter stage. We do not bill in incremental six-minute units.

Yes. We advise on inbound and outbound investment structures, FEMA compliances, DTAA positions and India-side reporting for NRI individuals and offshore-held businesses.

Book a 30-minute consultation. It is partner-led, confidential, and there is no obligation to engage. If we are the right firm, you will hear a clear scope and indicative timeline by the end of it; if we are not, we will say so and point you to someone who is.

A conversation, not a pitch

Let's talk about the question that brought you here.

A partner will reply within one working day. Bring an audit query, a transaction in motion, or a compliance calendar that's running tight — we'll tell you, plainly, how we can help.

03Homepage

Eight sections, one argument: we are the careful kind.

01 · Hero

Considered counsel for the numbers that build a business.

One serif headline, one supporting paragraph, two CTAs (primary: consultation; secondary: services). 33+/8/21/ICAI metrics strip below the fold.

02 · Why us

Three pillars: partner-led, multidisciplinary, three decades.

Manifesto-style — short serif headlines, one-line supports. No icons. The restraint is the design.

03 · Services

Accordion list of the 8 practice areas.

Numbered, hairline rule between each. Title + tag + expand. Each expands inline; deep-link goes to /services/[slug].

04 · Industries

21-cell grid on dark ground.

Hover reveals slate-pale; clicking the four featured sectors opens dedicated pages. The dark band breaks the page rhythm.

05 · How we work

Four-step engagement timeline.

Discovery → Scope → Execute → Close & advise. Each with a one-line promise and a short paragraph.

06 · Testimonial

A single quote, centred, in display serif.

Replace placeholder with attributed client quote(s). One quote > three weak ones.

07 · FAQ

The six questions clients actually ask.

Plain-language answers. Removes friction before the contact form.

08 · Insights + CTA

Three latest notes, then a dark CTA band, then footer.

Insights signal that the firm thinks in public. CTA invites the conversation rather than demands a download.

05Service taxonomy

Eight practice areas, named for the buyer.

Service names lead with the buyer's vocabulary, not the firm's internal department names. "Direct Tax" replaces "Income Tax"; "GST" stays as it's the term clients use. "Project & Working-Capital Finance" makes the deliverable explicit. Each page follows the same template: lede → service list → who it's for → process → related insights → CTA.

06Calls to action

Conversational primary. Specific secondaries.

A CA firm sells trust, not a sign-up. The primary CTA is conversation-led; secondary CTAs sit on individual service pages and offer something concrete — a checklist, a readiness assessment, a calendar.

Book a consultation

30-minute, partner-led, no obligation. Opens a simple form: name, company, topic, preferred time.

Secondary · service pages

Request a proposal

Tertiary · footer / inline

Quiet · insights pages

07Design direction

Premium, restrained, editorial. Big-4-lite.

Visual restraint is the point. The work — three decades of compliance and counsel — does not need decoration. Every page leads with type and whitespace; colour and motion enter only to direct attention.

Surface vocabulary

Editorial grid Hairline rules Italic accents Number-prefixed sections Generous whitespace Dark band breaks Navy on paper Slate accents

What we avoid

Stock-photo handshakes Calculator illustrations Gradient hero blobs Drop-shadow cards Generic "trust" jargon Animated counters > 1s
08Colour

One hue. An ink-and-slate scaffold.

A single-hue palette: every navy variant is the brand; everything else is paper, ink or a slate of the same family. No contrast accent. The restraint is the brand.

No accent hue. Where a Big-4 deck would reach for a teal or an orange, this system reaches for a step in the slate or a band of navy-deep. The single-colour discipline is what makes it premium.

Italic in the display serif is reserved for emphasis on one word per headline. Never use italic across a full line. Body never goes below 15px; UI labels never below 11px.

10UI & motion

Quiet by default. Decisive on intent.

Buttons

Pill-shaped, two variants.

Primary: navy ground, paper text, arrow nudge on hover. Ghost: hairline border, fills to navy on hover. No drop shadows.

Cards & containers

Hairline rules over surfaces.

Sections separate via 1px rules, not boxes. Industry grid uses a 1px gap on a dark ground to feel structural rather than decorative.

Reveal

24px translate-Y + 700ms fade.

Triggers once per element via IntersectionObserver. Respects prefers-reduced-motion.

Sticky nav with a hairline on scroll.

Nav border becomes visible only once the user has scrolled past the hero. Backdrop-filter blur for paper-on-paper depth.

14ICAI considerations

What the regulator won't allow — and how we work within it.

Chartered accountancy firms in India are bound by ICAI's advertising and solicitation guidelines. The site copy avoids: claims of superiority, comparisons with other firms, performance promises, client names without consent, and lead-bait language.

In its place, the site speaks in the firm's voice and lets the work — services, industries, process, decades — make the argument. A short disclaimer in the footer and on /legal/disclaimer makes the firm's stance explicit. Testimonials, if added, follow ICAI guidance: attributed only with written client consent, generic role descriptors otherwise.

15Next steps

What we'd need from the firm to ship.

  • — ICAI Firm Registration Number for footer attribution
  • — 1–3 attributed client quotes (within ICAI guidance)
  • — Final list of 4 featured industries to build dedicated pages for
  • — Three insights / circular notes to seed the journal
  • — Office photography (exterior & reception) — used sparingly in /firm
  • — Confirmation of consultation form fields and where submissions route
  • — Sign-off on tone, palette and type before development begins
